Why does CAMO Rescue need help?

Dog rescues are often only supported by their community of donators, volunteers, and fosters. They do not receive any assistance from city/tax dollars and rely on donations, grants, and fees to fund the operation. The cost of running a dog rescue is incredibly high. One of the major costs comes from dogs that are sick, or have serious injuries. These dogs require medical attention that often times span far into the thousands of dollars. Aside from major ailments, most of the dogs that come into rescues have not been treated for fleas, worms, they haven't been spayed/neutered, groomed, or microchipped. It also goes without mentioning that all of these dogs need shelter, food, and many need daily medication. Without the assistance of their community, it is very likely that any rescue could prosper. In order to continue the fight against dog homelessness, abuse, and neglect, it is critical for people to contribute to local dog rescues.

What are the best ways to support CAMO Rescue?

There are a ton of ways to support any dog rescue. The easiest and most effective way to support your local dog rescue is by donating money or items. Donations go directly towards the dogs that are within the rescue and the dogs that are soon to come. There is also the option of volunteering at your local dog rescue. Many of them offer opportunities to get involved directly and put in hours within their facilities. This is a great way to get experience handling dogs if you're looking to build a career around them. It's also a great way to get the family together and contribute to the greater good. Another great way to help out is to foster a dog for your local dog rescue. Most, if not all, dog rescues offer a fostering program where people offer their home as a temporary living space for an adoptable dog. This enables more dogs in need to move into the main facility(s).
